The complaints primarily relate to changes of address in the registry, amendments to island citizenship details, and requests for the removal of deceased individuals from the voter register. Submissions have been made through the Commission’s online portal, MyPortal (my.elections.gov.mv).

Eligible voters are reminded that reports concerning voter registration matters will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. today, 18 January 2026. The Commission encourages all voters to review their registration information carefully during this period and promptly report any discrepancies.

Requests to add or remove individuals from the registry, or to amend any registration information, must be supported by official documentation. Political parties are required to submit registration-related matters through the SIMEDHA portal.

Voters may verify their registration details through the Commission’s official website or by sending an SMS in the format VR (space) ID number to 1414. All registration-related issues should be submitted via MyPortal (my.elections.gov.mv).

For further information or assistance regarding the elections, the public may contact the Commission’s call centre at 1414, which operates daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and on Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
