Registrations will open today in accordance with Law No. 11/2008 (General Regulation of Elections), as mentioned in Article 45-1. Arrangements have been made to facilitate independent voting for voters with visual impairment or blindness, allowing them to cast their votes without assistance from another person for the upcoming Local Council Election and Women’s Development Committee Election, scheduled for Saturday, 4th April 2026.

 

Eligible voters who wish to register to vote using a voting template are requested to contact the Commission’s call center at 1414 before 23 February 2026, 10:00 PM. Registration calls will be accepted from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, except on Fridays, when calls will be accepted from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

 

Voting templates for voters with visual impairment and blindness were first introduced in 2023 and initially used during the 2023 Presidential Election. These templates were subsequently used in the most recent People’s Majlis Election. To raise awareness, induction programs and practical demonstrations have been conducted for voters interested in using voting templates.
