The process of signing the final register of eligible voters for the upcoming elections has commenced today.
Political parties, candidates, and authorized representatives of nominating parties have begun verifying and signing the final voters register. This register includes individuals eligible to vote in the elections scheduled for Thursday, 4 April 2026, including the Local Council elections, Women’s Development Committee elections, and the nationwide public referendum.
The signing process, which confirms the accuracy of the final list of eligible voters, will continue until Thursday, 19 March 2026, at the Election Commission Centre. The process is conducted daily from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and again from 9:30 p.m. to 12:00 midnight. The register has already been formally endorsed by the Commission prior to being presented for candidate verification.
In cases where an authorized representative signs on behalf of a candidate, a formal authorization letter signed by the candidate must be submitted. This letter should clearly state the full name, permanent address, and National Identification card number of the authorized individual. Additionally, a copy of the candidate’s National Identification card must be provided, and the authorized representative must present their original National Identification card at the time of signing.
